Organization and Governance

K.J. Somaiya Centre for Studies in Jainism conducts its academic activities of classes on Jain Philosophy, Religion and Culture as well as working on Major Research Project.

We are recognized by University of Mumbai for M.A (Research) and Ph.D (Philosophy). We are also affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Hence from 2012 onwards the Certificate Course is conducted as per the syllabus and semester system of the University of Mumbai. We teach Original Agamas at Diploma and Advanced Diploma Level. Tattvartha Sutra has been taught at Diploma level and Pravachansara has been taught at Advanced Diploma Level.

For academic guidance, the institute has constituted a Local Management Committee as per the guidelines of the University of Mumbai.

The Institute has also constituted an Academic Council. The day-to day operations of the Institute are supervised by Director of the Institute.
